Common Questions
How is the Retreat different from the Retreat Duo?
Same shell, same 47 jets, same 433 gallons. The difference is the seating layout. The Retreat has one lounger and seats 6. The Duo trades a seat for a second lounger, so two people can recline at once, and it seats 5.
How is it different from the Haven?
All three are SB Series tubs with two 4HP pumps. The Retreat models are bigger: 93" square and 433 gallons with 47 jets, against the Haven's 83" square, 345 gallons, and 40 jets.
How is it delivered?
By freight, in a crate, curbside. The carrier calls to schedule an appointment and unloads at the end of your driveway or the nearest accessible point. Moving it to the slab is your responsibility, so plan help or a spa moving service. The Retreat fits through a standard 40" gate.
What electrical work is needed?
A dedicated 240V, 60 amp GFCI circuit with 4 wire #6 AWG copper, hardwired by a licensed electrician. Runs over 75 feet may need heavier wire. Sunbelt states improper wiring voids the warranty, so have this done before delivery.
What foundation does it need?
Sunbelt recommends a 4" concrete slab with 3/8" rebar on a 16" grid. Any other foundation should be approved by a qualified contractor or engineer. For decks, the structure must support at least 95 lbs per square foot. Leave 38" of clearance on the equipment side and 24" around the rest for service access.
What does it cost to run?
At 5.5kW and the national average electricity rate, the heater costs roughly $1.00 per hour at full draw (heater size is a manufacturer estimate). A covered tub heats in short cycles, not continuously, so your monthly cost depends on climate, how often you use it, and your local rate.
How do I care for the water?
Corona discharge ozone and a 50 sq ft filter handle much of the daily work. You'll still test and balance water chemistry regularly and rinse the filter on a schedule. Sunbelt's Quick Start Guide below covers the details.
Can I return it?
No. Each Retreat is built to order, so it can't be cancelled, returned, or exchanged once production starts. Any issue after delivery is handled through Sunbelt's warranty. Please review the warranty document below before ordering.

Shipping and Delivery — Sunbelt Products
- Standard shipping is free within the 48 contiguous states.
- Sunbelt hot tubs and cold plunges are built to order. Production takes 8 to 9 weeks before your order ships, plus 3 to 5 business days processing.
- Total estimated time from order to delivery is 9 to 11 weeks, depending on production and carrier schedules.
- Your order ships by LTL freight. The carrier will call you to schedule a delivery appointment.
- Delivery is curbside. The carrier delivers your crate to the end of your driveway or the nearest accessible point at your property. Moving the unit to its final location is your responsibility.
- White glove delivery, including unboxing and placement, may be available for an additional fee, or we can refer you to a local provider. Contact us after your order ships to arrange it.
- Inspect your delivery before signing. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt, then call us at 760.840.5141.
- Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with your carrier name and tracking details.
- Delivery times are estimates and can shift with weather or carrier scheduling.

Sunbelt Products — Deposit, Returns, and Warranty
Deposit and Cancellation
A 50 percent deposit is required to place any order for a Sunbelt product. The deposit starts production. Because Sunbelt products are built to order, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once placed.
The remaining balance is due before your order ships.
Returns
Because each Sunbelt product is built to order, we cannot accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order enters production.
If your product arrives damaged, defective, or not as ordered, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and video. We'll work with you and Sunbelt to file a freight claim, arrange a repair, or replace the affected part, depending on the issue.
Warranty
All Sunbelt products carry a manufacturer's warranty. Coverage varies by series:
Leisure and PNP Series: 1 year on plumbing, 1 year on equipment, 1 year non prorated labor.
Lone Star, SB, and Storm Series: 3 years on plumbing (prorated after year 2), 3 years on equipment (prorated after year 2), 2 years non prorated labor.
Shell structure, shell surface, skirting and cabinet materials, and installed options carry the same coverage across all series.
